About Us

Origin of Kewo Jute

Jim Shi, Chairman of Kewo, started his textile journey with polyester fabrics. His company is located in Changxing, Zhejiang, a city famous for its textile industry.

During a trip to Bangladesh, Jim bought a jute tote bag from a boutique. Chatting with the shop assistant, he learned that jute is naturally biodegradable. This experience inspired him and introduced him to a new textile material: jute fabric.

With strong environmental awareness, Jim decided to move away from conventional polyester production. He imports premium jute from Bangladesh and manufactures jute fabrics and finished jute products in China. He encourages his team to develop a wider range of jute items, and advocates jute products as a way to protect our ecosystem.
